neko.works (which reads as "neko dot works") is a one cat indie game studio from France making modern renditions of classic concepts.

History

Inception...

On my first contact with computers when I wasn't even 10 years old, I wanted to create my own games.

Even so, I didn't pursue a career in that direction. The reason is that I was born in a country where it wasn't an option.

After completing my studies as an IT engineer, I had the opportunity to move to France. I worked a year as a web developer in a company based in Paris, then I decided to quit and start doing what I've always dreamed of... Making my own games!

Beginnings...

I've started working on an ambitious turn-based Japanese-style RPG codenamed "Project Light" which is now known as the "Light Fairytale" series. I've launched a KickStarter in October 2016 to fund it but unfortunately the campaign failed.

The same year, I've released the arcade racer "Super Night Riders" which has been the main funding source for Light Fairytale. In November 2018, I've finally released the first episode of Light Fairytale on Steam Early Access.

And now...

I've released 2 episodes of Light Fairytale on 4 major platforms. In addition to the next episodes, I'm also working on two new Super Night Riders games: S1 & S2. I'm also planning my next big project: An action game set in a steampunk world called "Dark Fairytale".
